Woman Infant and Children Supplemental Food Program
How WIC Works

Income Guidelines (March 2007)

WIC has income guidelines which many people meet.
WIC is not a welfare program
.

Even if you were turned down for other programs, you may still be eligible for WIC. If you or another family member are receiving WAGES/TANF, you are automatically income eligible for WIC. Children and pregnant or breastfeeding women on medicaid are automatically income eliigle for WIC. You do not need to be a US citizen to qualify for WIC.

You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. You do not have to be on a public assistance program to qualify for WIC.

Find your family size, include an unborn child if there is a pregnancy. Look across to the frequency at which income is earned in your family. These numbers are the cut-off, meaning the total gross income (before taxes) for the home must be less than this number.
If one person in the home earns their paycheck weekly and another earns their paycheck twice monthly, call us and we can figure it for you to see if you qualify!
